§ 14-28. Licensed construction.

(a)

All construction must be performed by a qualified contractor pursuant to licensing requirements of F.S. ch. 489. Contractor means any person who is qualified for and responsible for an entire project contracted for and means the person who, for compensation, undertakes to, submits a bid to, or does himself or by others, construct, alter, repair, remodel, add to, subtract from or improve any building or structure, including related improvements to real estate for others or for resale to others.

(b)

All construction companies operating in the Town shall provide and maintain on file with the town clerk or building official a copy of their current qualified business license as evidence of compliance with F.S. ch. 489 and/or an annual registration fee as may be established by the town commission.
