§ 2-21. Removal of elective officers.

  • The commission shall have authority to remove any elective officer guilty of malfeasance, misfeasance or nonfeasance in office, or any officer guilty of drunkenness or gross immorality, but such removal shall be only upon trial after the officer accused has been served with a copy of the charges against him and he has had an opportunity to be heard and produce witnesses in his own behalf. A member of the town commission shall not be qualified to vote upon the question of his own removal.
