§ 22-4. Penalties and enforcement.

  • (a)

    The violation of any part of this chapter, or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant thereto, and any rules or regulations set forth in the state fire prevention code, shall constitute a violation of this Code.

    (b)

    Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter, the town, in addition to any other remedies set forth herein, shall have the right to equitable or injunctive relief to enforce the provisions of this chapter or such other legal or equitable remedies provided by law.

    (c)

    All fire safety inspectors are hereby authorized to issue citations to any person violating the terms of this chapter and the state fire prevention code.

    (d)

    The provisions of this chapter may also be enforced in accordance with any ordinance adopted by the town which establishes a code enforcement board for review of technical code violations.
