§ 18-55. Regulatory provisions.

  • (a)

    Hazardous and biohazardous waste and special wastes will not be collected as part of the town's residential or commercial solid waste collection service.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to place any waste identified as biohazardous waste or hazardous waste or special waste in any solid waste container to be serviced by the town or its contract agents. Such waste shall be transported and disposed of only in accordance with the requirements of the state department of environmental protection and the county as such requirements may exist from time to time.

    (c)

    Garbage and white goods and furniture shall be disposed of only by town solid waste collection service or as otherwise permitted by ordinances of the county. Garbage and white goods shall not be disposed of by dumping in lakes, waterways, public streets, parks or any public property, or another person's property.
