§ 18-19. Resolution required ordering correction.

  • When the town commission shall determine that it is necessary or expedient for the preservation of the public health, or for other good reasons, that the growth of weeds, grass, undergrowth, debris, trash or accumulation of rubbish or other unsanitary accumulations upon any residential lot or land then lying or being within the town shall be removed, declaration thereof shall be made by resolution designating the name and address of the owner of such lots or lands, and the cost of such cleaning or removal of debris, and such resolution shall direct such owner to clean, clear or remove such debris or unsanitary condition and shall provide for the assessment of the costs against the land cleaned, cleared or benefited thereby if such owner shall fail to clean, clear or remove the debris from such lots or lands.
