§ 14-59. Numbering system.

Latest version.
  • (a)

On all north-south streets, even number shall be assigned on the east and easterly side, and odd numbers shall be assigned on the west or westerly side. Numbers must change at streets, but may be changed at grids. The first block north and south of the south section line of section 1, township 25S, range 20E, shall be assigned the odd-even numbers of 100 through 199 and serially change to the next higher unit of hundreds at each block ending or increment of 300 feet, whichever occurs first northwardly or southwardly.

    (b)

The east-west dividing line for numbering shall be the centerline of Pompanic Street, which is the west boundary line of section 1, township 25S, range 20E, and a whole number shall be assigned for each 25 feet of land along each side of every street in an easterly direction from that section line.

    (c)

Proceeding east from the section line, even numbers shall be assigned on the south side and odd numbers on the north side. This provides for odd numbers on the left and even numbers on the right when traveling east from Pompanic Street.
